TEMPORARY ADMISSION FOR EXHIBITION

Aug. 26, 2020 |  Blog - Customs & Tax -

As the Riviera Yachting Rendez-Vous by ECPY is coming soon, the YMCA team is here to provide you with valuable information as regards the necessary formalities that must be carried out.

When a private vessel is willing to take part into an exhibition (for example: a boat show), it must be placed under the regime of the temporary admission for exhibition.

Therefore, an importation declaration must be filed before the beginning of the show and another one at the end in order to close the regime. This second importation declaration replaces the boat into the classic temporary admission regime. Moreover, the time spent under temporary admission for exhibition is not taken into account for the 18-month time-limit of the normal temporary admission regime.

At the end of the show, the boat also has the choice to file an exportation declaration if the plan is to leave the European Union afterwards.

Do not hesitate to contact us to prepare these important formalities for your own safety.

We remain at your disposal,

The YMCA team,

Best regards,
