We have noticed an increase of customs investigations in France in this period. We would like to remind that your vessel is subject to a specific customs and VAT status. Very often, this status comes along with stringent conditions to fulfill. The non-respect of these conditions could have very serious consequences.

Few examples:

For yachts currently imported under the French commercial exemption, do not forget to comply with the 70% rule (70% of the trips outside French waters) every calendar year.

Regarding non-EU private yachts, mind the time-limit of your temporary admission allowance (18 months in a row).

We recommend you comply with customs and VAT regulations at all times.
